Raina Sokolov-GonzalezRaina Sokolov-Gonzalez is a singer, composer, piano player and music educator. Rooted in Jazz, R&B, Folk,and songwriter traditions, her work is known for its lyrical clarity and emotional vulnerability.Wonderland Magazine described Sokolov-Gonzalez as having a“…a seamless and sultry style that burstwith vitality and vigour…delving into emotive, vulnerable songwriting and delivering stunning vocalperformances.”

Coming from a musical family, Raina was exposed to a wide range of artistic influences asa child andmusic was a means of expression from a very early age. She went on to graduate from Bard Collegewhere she has a BA in Music Composition and Performance. She has performed at venues such as Joe’sPub, Brooklyn Bowl, MoMaPS1, Roulette, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Homer Center for the Arts, MohonkMountain House, Sons D’Hiver Festival, and many others. Sokolov-Gonzalez has been a featured vocalistwith artists such as William Parker, D.D. Jackson, and many others. She has been an artist in residence atMillay Center for the Arts (2023), Ancram Center for the Arts (2024), and was a member of the Joe’s PubWorking Group‘24-’25.

Releasing her first songs in 2018, Raina’s debut album‘If They’re Mine’was released in 2021, garneringover 1.5 million streams on Spotify. Her new album‘Habit’is out now.
