Singer/songwriter Maya Chan Morales, former front woman of Bay Area Neo soul band MintJulep, is now leading a new Chicago-based passion project MYÍTA. A mix of dreamy RnB and expressive neosoul, MYÍTA features a jazzy and futuristic quartet, Maya (vox), Nick Asby (drums), Teddy Myers (keys+ trumpet), and Brandon Vu (bass +guitar). Centered in poetry, queerness, and femininity, MYíTA’s songwriting and original composition is heart-full, expansive, sultry, and sure to make you daydream in blues and yellows.
