Born on the south side of Chicago and then migrating to the northwestern suburbs,Swämfound himself back in the city through various sound engineer jobs at VSOP, Dorians, and Thalia Hall. After years of perfecting the craft of production, vocal performance and songwriting, Swäm decided to take a step into his own artistry. In 2021, he dropped his self produced debut album, Prant. Since then he has headlined several notable Chicago venues such as Empty Bottle for their House of Vans x Goose Island Free Mondays and Dorian’s Through the Record Shop.

In August 2023 Swäm released “The Mascot Is Not On the Team,” a new aged rock opera showcasing Swäm’s producing and songwriting skills. Known for being eclectic, Swäm delivers a energetic and dense project pulling from his many inspirations over the years. This album follows the ego death of the former South Side High mascot and self proclaimed superstar, Uzamizo. The story picks up with his firing from his position at South Side High and carries us through the realization that his knack for entertaining does not equal loyalty. The Mascot is in fact, NOT on the team.
