As the founder of 81 Records, Sonny Daze started a journey in music with his mothers record collection on the south side of Chicago. Born with a thirst for music of both past and present, Sonny’s palate for music grew from the gritty street corners of Chicago, his grandparents southern roots and the late night rides in his uncle Paris’s Cadillac. This developed his understanding that music is a healing and unifying force that influences the world.
