Dibs Brass Band is a supergroup whose members pull from veteran Chicago music acts Lowdown Brass Band, Ben Lamar Gay, Akasha, Chicago Jamaican Jazz Ensemble, Black Bear Combo, The Drastics, Mucca Pazza, and Radio Free Honduras.

Dibs Brass Band plays a brand of improvised music self labeled as “Free Brass” a mix of New Orleans Street Beat, soul jazz, funk, soul, reggae, and afrobeat with a mix of Motown, Funk, Rock and traditional jazz covers in a fun, energetic performance that has universal appeal.

Dibs has performed everywhere including at Chicago Jazz Festival, Taste of Chicago, The Hideout Block Party, The Taste of Lincoln Park, as well as regional and international festivals.
