The Madsen/Sommers/Hemphill jazz trio is a collective ensemble composed of saxophonist Chris Madsen, bassist Clark Sommers, and drummer Neil Hemphill. Formed in 2019, the Chicago-based group has performed at such venues as The Whistler, Elastic Arts, Cafe Mustache, and the Jazz Estate. Madsen/Sommers/Hemphill puts their unique, freewheeling spin on music from the jazz continuum as well as original music by members of the band.
